California Privacy Notice

This Supplemental Privacy Notice supplements the main Privacy Policy of Grounded Learning CE, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) and applies to California residents as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Although California is not a target state for course approvals, this notice applies when the Company processes personal information of California residents through website visits, course purchases, or course enrollment for continuing education approved in other states.

1. Applicability

This notice supplements our main Privacy Policy and applies to California residents whose personal information is processed by the Company. It is published proactively, prior to meeting CCPA thresholds, so California residents are aware of their rights and how to exercise them.

2. Categories of Personal Information Collected

The Company collects and uses various categories of personal information as required by the CCPA. The following table summarizes the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of such information:

3. Right to Know

California residents have the right to request that the Company disclose what personal information is collected, the categories of sources from which it is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom the information is shared. Such requests may be submitted using the contact information provided in Section 9. The Company will respond to verified requests within forty-five (45) days or provide an explanation of any delay.

4. Right to Delete

California residents may request that the Company delete personal information collected from them, subject to specified exceptions. The Company will not delete information that is: (a) necessary to complete the transaction for which it was collected; (b) needed to comply with legal obligations; (c) used to detect and address fraud or security issues; (d) required for internal uses reasonably aligned with consumer expectations; or (e) needed to comply with other applicable laws. Deletion requests may be submitted through the methods specified in Section 9, and the Company will respond within forty-five (45) days.

5. Right to Correct

California residents have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information held by the Company. Correction requests must identify the inaccurate information and provide documentation of the correct information. The Company will investigate and correct verified inaccuracies within forty-five (45) days. Requests that are complex or require verification may be extended by an additional forty-five (45) days with notice.

6. Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

Grounded Learning CE does NOT sell personal information of California residents and does NOT share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Company has no intention to engage in these practices. If the Company ever begins to sell or share personal information in the future, a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link will be prominently displayed on the homepage and this notice will be updated immediately.

7. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

Under the CPRA, California residents have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to perform services requested by the consumer. Sensitive personal information collected by the Company includes: (a) social security numbers or other government-issued identification numbers; (b) financial account information; (c) precise geolocation; (d) racial or ethnic origin; (e) religious or philosophical beliefs; (f) union membership; (g) genetic data; (h) biometric data for identification; and (i) health data. Sensitive data is used only for purposes necessary to provide courses, verify student identity (when required), and comply with legal obligations. California residents may request limitation of sensitive information use by submitting a request using the contact information in Section 9. The Company will honor such requests within forty-five (45) days.

8. Right to Non-Discrimination

The Company will not discriminate against California residents for exercising their CCPA/CPRA rights. The Company will not deny, charge different prices, provide different quality of service, or otherwise penalize California residents for submitting requests to know, delete, correct, opt out, or limit use of their personal information, except where such differences are directly related to the value of the personal information to the consumer.

9. How to Submit Requests

California residents may submit access, deletion, correction, and opt-out requests through the following methods: Verification Process: To protect privacy, the Company will verify the identity of requesters before responding. Verification may require confirmation of email address, name, purchase history, or submission of additional documentation. The Company may decline requests that cannot be verified. Response Timeline: The Company will respond to verified requests within forty-five (45) days. Complex requests may be extended by an additional forty-five (45) days with written notice explaining the reason for extension.

10. Authorized Agent

California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf. Authorized agents must provide: (a) written authorization from the resident; (b) proof of the resident’s identity; and (c) proof of the agent’s authority (e.g., power of attorney). The Company may request direct confirmation from the resident before responding to an agent’s request.

11. Annual Disclosure Metrics

Once the Company meets CCPA thresholds and is required to comply, the Company will publicly disclose annual metrics concerning data subject requests, including: (a) the number of requests received; (b) the number of requests complied with; (c) the number of requests denied; (d) the number of requests for deletion; (e) the number of requests for access; and (f) the number of requests for opt-out. These metrics will be published annually on the Company’s website.

12. Financial Incentive Programs

Grounded Learning CE does not currently operate any financial incentive programs, loyalty programs, or discount programs in which California residents are offered incentives in exchange for personal information. If such programs are implemented in the future, the Company will provide clear disclosure of program terms, the value of personal information, and instructions for enrollment and withdrawal.

14. Effective Date and Updates

This notice is effective as of March 26, 2026. The Company will review this notice annually and update it as necessary to reflect changes in business practices, legal requirements, or other material developments. Material changes will be communicated to California residents through email or prominent website notice.
